In a significant step toward shaping the future of Serbia’s global business engagement, EXPO 2027 d.o.o. Belgrade and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia have officially joined forces through a landmark Institutional Partnership Agreement. Signed by Dušan Borovčanin, Director of EXPO 2027, and Marko Čadež, President of the Chamber, the pact sets a solid foundation for dynamic collaboration in executing the business component of the upcoming Specialized Exhibition, EXPO 2027.

The alliance aims to leverage the international platform of EXPO 2027 to elevate Serbia’s economic profile, encourage cross-border cooperation, and present Belgrade as a burgeoning center for innovation, enterprise, and creative collaboration.

“Aside from the exhibition’s rich cultural and national programming, there will be a robust commercial dimension,” said Dušan Borovčanin. “In that context, it’s both logical and necessary for the Chamber of Commerce to take a proactive role in developing and executing the business strategy. We will jointly involve both domestic and foreign enterprises in dedicated zones for corporate exhibitors and best practices. The goal is to create real opportunities — from showcasing Serbia’s investment potential to facilitating international business matchmaking.”

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, which represents all legally registered businesses in the country, will bring its extensive institutional strength and global reach to the partnership — without any form of financial or material compensation. This gesture underscores a long-standing belief in EXPO 2027 as a transformative milestone for Serbia’s future.

“This agreement formalizes a vision we’ve nurtured for years — that Belgrade is ready to host a world-class Expo,” emphasized Marko Čadež. “While the path ahead is demanding, the Chamber has been aligned with this project since day one. Our commitment is not only to fill EXPO 2027 with relevant content, but to ensure it delivers lasting value to Serbian enterprises through exposure, dialogue, and partnerships. The Expo must become a legacy — a living project before, during, and beyond 2027. Our ambition is for Belgrade to emerge as the regional hub for tech and entrepreneurship.”

As a strategic collaborator, the Chamber will co-create key aspects of the business program, which will include the Global Business Summit and a series of thematic forums designed to explore pressing economic issues and emerging trends. These business-focused events will serve as launchpads for Serbian companies, opening doors to global investment and collaboration.

The newly signed partnership is more than a formal agreement — it is a shared commitment to innovation-driven growth. It aims to expand Serbia’s presence on the global business stage, foster enduring international ties, and cultivate new pathways for development. By aligning with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, EXPO 2027 signals its dedication to creating not just a spectacle, but a forward-looking economic ecosystem with Serbia at its heart.
