Getting connected to Wi-Fi at airports can be a real challenge, especially if you’re trying to avoid any fees. While many solutions are discussed online, they are often either impractical or too complicated to use. I’m going to share a method that is not only simple and effective but works on virtually any smartphone, regardless of your Android version. Plus, it doesn’t require root access or any special permissions.
Option Trip – Many people try to connect by using apps from the Play Store that promise access to any Wi-Fi network. However, these apps typically need root access to function properly, something that most users don’t have on their devices. Without root access, these apps are ineffective, making this method unfeasible for most people. Another commonly suggested approach involves digging deep into your phone’s Wi-Fi settings to unlock hidden networks. While this might work in theory, it’s overly complex and time-consuming, not to mention that it requires a level of technical knowledge that most users simply don’t possess.
The easiest and most reliable way to connect to any Wi-Fi network is by using an app called Activity Launcher. This app is widely available, including on the Play Store, and it gives you access to hidden settings on your smartphone that you can’t normally reach. After downloading and installing Activity Launcher, open the app. Depending on the number of apps and settings on your device, it might take a moment to load, but be patient. Once it’s up and running, use the search bar at the top to type in “Networks” or “Saved Networks.” Scroll through the results until you find a menu related to Wi-Fi settings. This option is available on nearly every smartphone, whether it’s a Huawei, Samsung, Xiaomi, or another brand.
Once you’ve accessed the correct menu, you’ll see a list of all the Wi-Fi networks your phone has connected to in the past. From there, select the network you’re interested in. You’ll then have the option to retrieve the password for that network by selecting the “Share” or “QR code” option. This generates a QR code that contains the network’s details, including the password. Scan the QR code with another device, and you’ll see the password displayed, allowing you to connect to the network easily.
This method is especially useful if you’ve previously connected to a Wi-Fi network but have since forgotten the password. It’s also handy if you want to share the network with someone else.
Using the Activity Launcher app, connecting to any Wi-Fi network, even in airports where free Wi-Fi is hard to come by, becomes straightforward and hassle-free. You don’t need any advanced technical skills or special permissions, making it accessible to everyone. If you found this guide helpful or have any questions, feel free to leave a comment.
